This role is responsible for leading the Category Management function covering the products related to technology (IT & Network) for Ooredoo. The role covers end to end sourcing from market survey to supplier selection through to negotiation and completion of selection, contract and supplier relationship.

You should possess at least 12 years’ experience in a Strategic Sourcing function for high value technical products with a significant understanding of Contract negotiations to international industry standards.
Ideally your prior experience would be in Telco market working in sales/technical fields as a knowledge within a telecoms environment is highly desirable as is significant knowledge of procurement processes to international standards in mature organizations.
You should be able to demonstrate Management skills in international environments and have expertise in vendor selection and management with a proven ability to drive down cost without loss of service standards or quality standards.
The minimum requirement is a Bachelors in Telecom Engineering or Business Administration. Any additional qualification in Procurement Management – such as the CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) diploma are desirable.
