KAC150728110753 – Avionics (Radio, Electrical, Instrument) Engineer
Monitors systems and their components and analyses recurring technical defects pertaining to avionics trades. Recommends rectification action .
2. Tasks and Duties: .
A. Monitors technical defects pertaining to avionics trades recorded by flight crew in the technical log on each flight. Follows-up rectification action taken by Electrical & Instrument/Radio and Radar Engineers to ensure that rectification work is carried out satisfactory. If necessary, issues Repetitive Defect Notices and Engineering Advice requesting additional rectification .
B. Investigates avionics systems and component alert exceedance reports compiled by the Technical Development Reliability Group. Suggests corrective action to Reliability Control Committee .
C. Prepares avionics component replacement procedure sheets and avionics system test procedure sheets.
1. B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering OR Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Double Licenses) with equivalent technical knowledge .
2. 2 years’ civil aircraft maintenance experience .
3. Good knowledge of English .
