CONSULTATION & INVESTIGATION SME (Saudi Nationals required)

Purpose of the Job:
- Ensures the management is given the possible advice and guidance on the matters protecting and preserving company interests, handles corporate legal matters/ issues pertaining to the Board of Directors, CEO and subsidiaries offices as well as matters related to corporate governance and other professional support, including opinion on commercial and non-commercial aspects of the business. Ensures effective internal investigation, follow-up and resolution on suspected violations of KSA’s Law or company’s rules and policies.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contributes in defining the strategic direction for the business line by providing inputs from own function and work with all other peer managers to ensure that all functions are aligned with and support the overall strategy of the company.
- Directs preparation of the annual Operating, Business Plans and capital expenditure budget for the function, ensuring that adequate funding provision is made available for all activities related with his functions.
- Monitors expenditure against approved levels on a regular basis and investigates and justifies significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.
- Reviews the organization structure and operational processes of function, studies and recommends changes to optimize the workings of function as appropriate to optimize efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Manages the function by developing and implementing policies, procedures and guidelines in alignment with the vision of the organization and technical specifications and standards where applicable to ensure efficient delivery of the function’s mandate.
- Oversees coordination with the external legal advisors on their opinion and expertise regarding any significant issue of concern to ensure the management is given the best possible advice and guidance on the matters protecting company’s interests.
- Oversees drafting of robust company legal terms and conditions to cover all important matters and preserve company interests.
- Coordinates resolution of grievances and complaints referred to Legal Affairs
- Coordinates handling of corporate legal matters/ issues pertaining to the Board of Directors, CEO and subsidiaries offices as well as the matters relating to corporate governance and other professional support
- Coordinates with Public Affairs review of internal and external communication pertaining to corporate matters
- Oversees coordination between regions and HQ for consultation and investigation matters
- Coordinates/oversees internal investigation on suspected violations of KSA’s Law or company’s rule and policies.
- Oversees hiring of any third party specialty firm or law enforcement entity to run the internal fraud investigation
- Oversees addressing of clarification requests from external stakeholders
- Oversees coordination of activities with Compliance and Internal Audit to continuously improve fraud detection within the organization.
- Oversees and supports that all activities are undertaken in strict compliance with approved health, safety and environment procedures in order to protect company personnel, assets and corporate reputation.
- Ascertains & improves health of own employees and increases effort to improve capabilities of existing staff through training
- Keeps abreast of regional and international trends and developments in the industry in order to identify areas of opportunities enhancing his function and output maintaining required company Quality
- Champions the process of effective leadership to manage direct reports’ performance, recruitment and development, and to raise their awareness towards the mission, vision, strategy and values to ensure high level commitment towards organization while raising levels of engagement and competence.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
- University degree in Law, Sharia or relevant discipline plus relevant professional qualification / certification with 7 years of experience OR Master Degree in related field with 6 years of Experience.
- Good understanding and knowledge of the various laws, legal provisions and implications relevant to the Company business and to the Operating Areas in particular.
- Competencies that will be considered essential for this position will include well-developed skills in ‘Achievement Drive’, ‘Decisiveness/ Judgement’, ‘Information Seeking’, ‘Initiative’, ‘Analytical Thinking’ and ‘Directiveness’.
