Job Description
Job Purpose
Responsible for planning and coordinating the management of complex business/critical digital projects for Al Tayer Motors. Take a cross functional leadership role to ensure that business plans are being executed well across all organizational units and, where applicable, with 3rd Parties. Ensure that projects are well planned and delivered within scope and on time and budget.
Functional Responsibilities
  • Conduct project planning for assigned work streams following the Agile methodology including:
    • Plan, document, execute and manage projects through all the phases including close-out;
    • Managing tasks, deliverables and milestones;
    • Identify and track project issues, risks, decisions and action items;
    • Perform daily/weekly status updates and update team dashboards;
    • Manage changes to plans through change controls and re-base lining processes;
    • Plan & schedule meetings as necessary, create agendas and documenting minutes;
    • Help prepare work stream deliverables and submit them ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Along with business initiatives, lead the definition and execution of strategic projects aimed at reducing the total cost and time to market for launch.
  • Work closely with Senior Manager Digital Marketing and other business and operations leaders, to define the product and provide updates on the program.
  • To be hands-on in driving the delivery of critical business initiatives, managing all aspects of the project such as project planning, requirements definition, risk management, communication, and implementation planning.
  • Identify innovative solutions to project deadlocks and resolving issues and constraints through consensus and sound judgment.
  • Responsible for making project decisions, achieving tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus.
  • Manage program and project level statuses including communication and providing transparency to Sr. Management and business partners.
  • Help teams write, split and size good sprints.
  • Ensure that projects are well planned and delivered within scope and on time and budget.
  • Manage cross team dependencies help identify and remove impediments and escalate to leadership when necessary.
  • Manage project team meetings effectively and defuse conflicts.
  • Utilize best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Proactively establish good working relationships with all project team members and representatives of all impacted organizations.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Responsible for managing release schedules and status.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and project metrics.
  • Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies. Monitor the performance of project team, providing and documenting performance feedback.
  • Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources.
  • Lead all delivery related meetings and activities of the project team.
  • Maintain awareness of all issues facing the project, and working with stakeholders to develop solutions.
  • Maintaining and communicating project plans and timelines to Management team.
  • Foster self-organizing, high performing teams through facilitation,
    mentoring and coaching.
  • Facilitate Release Planning; Sprint Planning; Daily Stand-Ups Sprit Reviews and
    Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor agile values while being pragmatic in the approach.
  • Encourage, support, and guide continuous improvement of people (team), products and processes.
  • Guide new and existing teams to reach and maintain High Performing status.
  • Focus on quality and delivering the highest business value in the shortest time.
  • Identify problems, impediments, dependencies, and other team dysfunctions, and then help provide quick resolution in order to keep teams highly productive.
  • Help resolve conflict(s), if any.
  • Encourage team members to look for opportunities to help each other ensuring a collaborative culture in the team.
  • Provide all required support to the team and lead by example.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
  • 5+ years of Digital Project Management experience
  • Deep understanding of project and program management with a good experience in a fast paced environment taking a product through its complete lifecycle using Agile methodologies and delivering highly scalable and robust systems.
  • Ability to balance a practical, real world approach with an Agile philosophy to complete tasks in a timely manner
Functional Skills
  • Technology background, especially in a service-oriented environment with an understanding of software development and e-commerce products.
  • Proven track record of leading large cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and operate as an individual contributor to get the job done; at the same time be able to guide a team toward an objective.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and key partners for the program.
  • Strong judgment, especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals.
  • Able to provide architectural guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and digital projects.
  • Being comfortable with, and able to engage, a variety of stakeholders inside and outside the business.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to co-ordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Cross functional stakeholder management and excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • A proven track record of success.
  • Expert in handling multiple, complex tasks simultaneously and have a holistic view on the business.
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Qualification in project management.
  • Hands-on technical expertise.
  • Strong commercial and technical vision.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead IT efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
