Engineering Contracts, Engineer

Participates in the engineering activities of the Projects Section: includes coordinating the technical definition of new aircraft and its components and furnishings, definition and issuance of specification change notices, following-up component delivery dates to the aircraft manufacturer, coordinating in-house maintenance training requirements, compiling documentation for the issuance of required government certificates and licenses for the new aircraft, etc .
2. Task and Duties: .
A. Participates in the technical definition of new aircraft, components and furnishings by receiving information from other engineering sections, conducting research, evaluating alternative components or equipment and clearly defining required specifications to ensure that the Corporation’s operational and maintenance standards are achieved .
B. Coordinates with other engineering sections or other Corporate departments i.e. Marketing & Sales, Flight Services, and other departments concerned, in investigating and defining Specification Change Notices for new aircraft from aircraft and component manufacturers or from “in-house” sources. Coordinates the engineering review and evaluation of Specification Changes including technical definitions and, as appropriate, determines if additional costs are justified. Assembles required documentation, writes reports makes recommendations to the Manager, Projects.

1. B.SC. in Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Double Licenses) with equivalent technical knowledge .
2. 2 years’ aircraft technical experience to include line and hangar maintenance experience as a Licensed Engineer and at least 2 years’ experience as a Project Engineer .
3. Good knowledge of English .
