Job Description
- To plan, schedule, prioritize and allocate the various jobs being undertaken by the different sections in the workshop to optimize resources and minimize downtime of the equipment.
- To receive, record and follow-up on customer requests by tracking the progress of ‘jobs’ being undertaken by the different sections in the workshop, in order to provide service to the customer.
- To collate information about the work being performed in different sections of the workshops to track and analyse equipment performance and for the purpose of recharge jobs.
- Attend to all breakdown calls from customer departments/ airlines and record the same with all details in MMS and convey the information to the workshop for necessary action. Also assign a work order number in order that the follow up action can be traced and any specific enquiry from the customer can be addressed.
- Update the MMS system with all work details to plan material and manpower requirements- maximum utilisation of resources with minimum down time of critical operational ground support equipment.
- On completion of the work, record the corrective action taken, initiate paperwork for applicable recharge and convey the information to the customers in order to provide a complete service to the customer as well as ensuring correct revenue collection through coordination with Airport/ Revenue Accounts.
- Monitor the maintenance works at different sections in the workshop in order to update the work done in the history cards and assist preparing maintenance schedule.
- Maintain the library of manuals in order that technicians & Maintenance Planners can refer to the manuals for maintenance procedures, spare parts requisition & cannibalisation etc. Ensure the technical service bulletins(TSB) are updated on the system and works orders for the TSBs are raised on time.
- Prepare and circulate monthly maintenance plan and schedules for distribution to the various departments in order to ensure that equipment is made available for maintenance work.
- To record all equipment servicing, breakdown repairs, accident damages, modifications, cannibalization and man hours accurately & on time.
- Liaise with Planning office, WSS office, Stores and different sections of workshop for providing stores with sufficient details on spare parts for ordering and update in shop job status.
- Ensure that Work Orders are updated on the Maintenance Management System to record the tasks carried out and equipment condition.
- To collect equipment primary information by physical check of new equipment & prepare history card, update equipment list, prepare insurance letter and ensure the manuals are filed in the Library.
- Must have 10 years schooling or ‘O’ level equivalent
- In addition to the above, must have accumulative of minimum 3 years of Technical Education (Technical Degree, Diploma or Trade Certificate) from a reputable Training Institution in Engineering
- Must have minimum 2 years experience in maintenance planning including work planning, scheduling, job allocation and equipment history recording
- Knowledge of materials, automobile spares and maintenance procedure
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, in English
- Experience in maintenance of Airport Ground Support Equipment (ACU, ASU, GPU, LDL, MDL, Tow Tractors, Passenger Steps, Portable Water Units, and Lavatory Units etc.)
- Experience in hydraulics/lifting equipment/conveyor systems/PLC’s/AC-DC motor control systems / traction batteries & chargers
- A valid U.A.E Driving Licence
- Training on First Aid at workplace and Safety/firefighting at workplace
