Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimizing, raising or investing capital. Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within TAS include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Project Finance, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Corporate Finance Strategy,  Transaction Tax, and Valuation and Business Modelling.
Join our Operational Transaction Services team and provide clients a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle, supporting both buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects of a transaction, including carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence and restructuring, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment and post-merger integration planning and delivery support.
 
The role:
 
  • Apply general principles related to a functional area to provide advice about potential transaction risk and issues
  • Take responsibility for research and applies new developments in simple client situations
  • Apply functional experience and knowledge to appropriately customize the application of OTS methodologies to meet client needs
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of OTS methodology including tools and templates by preparing initial scope and specific procedures
  • Assess the client’s state of readiness to execute integration plans or preparation for financial, legal and operational separation
  • Assess one-time costs to build or buy support services that are not part of the transaction and the one-time costs to execute the transaction
  • Identify transaction risk and issues and communicate to project leader
  • Regularly report filtered information to colleagues internally and (under direction) facts to clients
  • Develop technical expertise in the specialised competency and be confident in articulating it’s TAS value offering to the market
  • Build and expand networks whilst developing personal brand and shaping high performing teams to deliver exceptional client experience.

  

Qualifications
 
To qualify, candidates must have:
  • Experience in management consulting from a recognised consulting firm and/or big 4
  • Transaction experience and technical skills in relevant areas such as pre-deal transaction support, commercial and operational due diligence, synergy identification and assessment, post – merger integration or carve-out support and benefits realisation, client interaction skills
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment
