Primary Purpose of the Job:
- Duties involve but are not limited to inspection of pressure and non-pressure oil and gas facility process equipment, all associated process and utility piping, transmission pipeline in order to ascertain and maintain design integrity of all equipment.
- Fully utilizes the Risk Based Management Inspection System programme in order to recommend repairs, remedial action and inspection frequency on oil and gas producing facilities.
- He also attends meetings with Production mechanical or planning engineers and production field supervisors regarding implementation or scheduling and planning of all action reports.
- The Plant Inspection Engineer reports to the Senior Inspection Engineer on all daily activities and during periods of annual leave may be required to perform the duties of the Senior Inspection Engineer.
Education:
- B. Sc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent b) Technical.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 10 years experience in inspection of pressure containing plant equipment preferably in an Oil or Chemical Refinery and Oil & Gas Processing Facilities.
- Good knowledge of International Codes and Standards related to fabrication and Inspection of pressure vessels, associated piping, heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc
- Good knowledge of welding techniques, procedures and welding examination.
