OVERVIEW OF ROLE:   
EY Real Estate is responsible for a number of services including property acquisition and disposal, refurbishments of offices and management of all capital projects related to Real Estate
 
The Senior EMEIA Design and Construction leader role is required to lead the EMEIA RE team reporting to the Global Real Estate Leader and functionally reporting to the Global Project and Construction Leader to ensure the deployment of RE Playbook, RE design guidelines, RE WOTF lay-out.
 
The proposed role will be to lead both from a technical point of view and Workplace Of The Future Programme (WOTF) strategic approach the major RE Projects in EMEIA in coordination with the responsible Regional Real Estate Leader and the assigned Project Managers and also ensuring performance of all projects in line with the WOTF
 
 
EMEIA Design and Construction Leader          
 
The key area of responsibility is in ensuring the successful delivery of all major RE EMEIA relocations and refurbishments projects assigned in coordination with the relevant Regional Real Estate Leader.
 
The Senior EMEIA  Design and Construction leader  will ensure that a reporting procedure is in place for all projects in line with EY standards, playbook and capital budget process. Furthermore they will manage the liaison between the RREL, business and the project on all matters. Adherence with EY’s RE strategy (WOTF), design standards, statutory legislation and functional engagement and approval is critical to overall project success. Strategic interactions with senior partners and stakeholders is a key part of the role in order to ensure a proper strategic deployment of WOTF
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Management of the overall programme for EMEIA  RE approved projects in the  assigned regions (international/ multinationals approach/ responsibility), ensuring delivery to programme addressing within the team as appropriate or flagging for escalation and contractual resolution where necessary.
  • Providing formal progress across all assigned projects and ensuring completion of project documentation / reporting consistently with the playbook
  • To maintain regular engagement with all related EY Regional Real Estate Leaders to ensure early engagement and ability to provide design input as appropriate
  • To own Stakeholder engagement process and ensure adequate targets are agreed and maintained throughout the project which ensuring governance and compliance under RE process is maintained.
  • Track and manage all project risks and issues and ensuring appropriate highlight reports are raised with relevant stakeholders
  • Control the overall capital budget for the projects, ensuring sub-assigned budgets are maintained within agreed levels and all opportunities for value enhancement or value engineering as considered during the programme
  • Support Procurement in the associated tasks of specifying consultant appointments to enable project delivery and in managing the tender of the main contract
  • Ensuring key objectives for each project are delivered on time and to the satisfaction of the agreed stakeholders and line with any associated acceptance criteria
  • Tracking and raising any resource allocation challenges on projects and engaging with the Real Estate Leader as required
  • Owning the project lifecycle including areas such as initial analysis on budgets, project closure, lessons learned sessions, budget reconciliation and finalization of accounts

  

Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (QUENSH)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and safe systems of work for all areas within this project through regular engagement with the Enterprise Risk team.
  • Ensure appropriate control measures are in place to mitigate any incidents or building outages
 
    Other aspects:
 
        Ensuring the application of consistent processes and policies to projects across
        EMEIA, ensuring escalation of compliance or risk issues in line with the new Playbook
        approach being developed.
 
      Responsibilities
 
  • Establish and manage stakeholder expectations on the WOTF D&C responsibilities and be accountable for WOTF D&C scoping and delivery across the area to region, country, and local leadership and project teams and committees
  • Develop AREA technical policies and processes for the assigned regions in conjunction with the RREL, the AREL and the Global D&C Leader (Playbook)
  • Take a lead position in supporting EMEIA Regional Real Estate Leaders in the D&C part and be accountable for D&C requests and reporting to them as part of a wider team
  • Develop in coordination with the  Global D&C Leader the new D&C reporting required to fulfill the Global WOTF 2020 vision for D&C for  EMEIA (in conjunction with Global Playbook)
  • Establish robust Project Management System across the area compliant with Global Playbook
  • Maintain an agreed Risk Management reporting process for each critical phase and milestone of all projects, time management, critical date management, and stakeholder management – and establish visibility with key stakeholders

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:         
 
  • Excellent track record in all areas of RE project management including successful projects for a large partnership or financial institution of comparable size and complexity and within a regional and/or global environment.
  • Substantial experience in managing third party contractors in delivering works in live environments while managing business and personnel risk 
  • Strong experience in delivering cultural change through the built environment and how to take stakeholders through a change journey
