Job Overview
The Senior HR Generalist position provides day-to-day and strategic human resource generalist consultation to associates and managers. The position will serve as a critical member of the team responsible to support the HR function for assigned divisions or functions across the Gulf and Pakistan markets. This position will partner closely with HR Business Partners and HR Center of Excellences (COEs) to successfully implement and drive HR initiatives.
This position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and reports into the HR Head, MENA Markets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of policies, processes and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, onboarding, compensation and benefits, training, employee performance and labor relations
  • Manage employee lifecycle activities including contracts, promotion or pay changes, disciplinary and exits
  • Provide forward thinking HR consultation on operational and process issues impacting the business and take forward suggested HR proposals for review and implementation
  • Coach and develop managers around employee relations, performance management, goal setting and other key areas. Ensure all related processes defined from global HR are effectively executed within timeline.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement of core HR service delivery
  • Assist associates with inquiries, concerns & needs. Act as an impartial advocate for fair / equitable treatment
  • Create and recommend opportunities to enhance the culture and associate engagement
  • Serve as a resource to both managers and associates by providing policy, systems and procedure interpretation
  • Support the review & development of HR policies and processes as necessary for the business
  • Mitigate organizational risk by ensuring compliance with all employment laws
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR business partners to develop effective marketplace recruitment strategies and ensure the organization’s recruiting needs are handled appropriately
  • Source candidates through multiple channels and conduct interviews to identify qualified candidates and partner with managers throughout the staffing process
  • Support effective on-boarding of new hires and effective integration into the business as led by the Line Manager
  • Provide HR related data and reporting to leaders in order to promote data driven decision making and strategy development
  • Support actions of the wider HR team including related projects such as policy development, onboarding, talent development and implementation of global and regional HR initiatives
  • Actively participate in business and human resource projects as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related area
  • 5-7 years of human resource generalist experience working with multinational companies
  • Good working knowledge of GCC Employment Laws
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic
  • 2 years of overall recruitment experience ideally in a multi-site (or multi-country) environment within a Sales, Chemical Engineering or Industrial environment
  • Customer service focused, superior communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, develop action plans and implement solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills to make recommendations & decisions based on solid assumptions
  • Results-oriented, adaptable with proven drive & follow-through in a fast paced, results driven environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills balanced with creativity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master in Corporate Human Resources, Industrial Relations or other related area
  • HR Certification such as CIPD, PHR or GPHR preferred
  • Kenexa BrassRing or Workday Applicant Tracking System experience is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
