Job Description
As the Senior Manager – Planning & Research you will be responsible of synthesising research & intelligence findings into actionable insights for the marketing department and the wider business through the management of primary and secondary market research and by analysing product customer feedback, market information and, competitive intelligence ensuring the business has valid, relevant information on which to make decisions.
You will be responsible of preparation of the 3 years’ plan, preparing the annual operating plan, development of models, inputs and forecasts of marketing & commercial, measuring corporate customer related KPIs, measuring brand related KPIs and work with communication team to develop action plan, developing and ensuring proper insights for the implementation of the AOP major projects, contributing to the overall strategy of the organisation, 3 years plan and the annual operating plan, developing questionnaires and topic guides for research purposes based on clearly defined outcomes, leading the production of market research within the mobile and fixed sectors using:
- Market & Customer Service surveys & analysis
- Customer data reporting & analysis
- Intelligence and analysis from competitor and market sources
Developing Report production & analysis to support Geo-marketing, supporting the ongoing development of customer segmentation, managing the identification of opportunities and risks, communicating insights clearly and efficiently across the marketing department and across the business as required, managing consultants & market research agencies for all outsourced market research activities, developing recommendations for the product management teams, including: success of promotions etc ., based on results of market research analysis, producing strategic reports & forecasts as required – for example Reseller user profiles, Population forecasts for Oman, developing existing, and acquire new sources that enhance market understanding, reviewing market intelligence sources against Business needs; incorporate services/initiatives from Ooredoo Group as appropriate, enhancing competitor intelligence processes and sources to deliver actionable insight for Ooredoo, overseeing the monitoring of competitors activities on a daily basis and ensure those activities are captured and reported on as required, providing comprehensive pricing benchmarking locally for all services in monthly basis, developing, monitoring and controlling marketing research & Insight budget, developing the research & insights budget, and manage its implementation and achievement and contributing to the overall pricing, planning & insight strategy.
You should have minimum of 6 years of total work experience At least 3 of which should be in a management role preferably within a telecommunications company or service provider, strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry and its trends and business model, cclient or agency background, eexperience in both consumer & business, planning & marketing research with Bachelor degree in statistic or marketing.
