Reporting to: Design Manager

Job Missions:
Service Duty
Develop building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications;
Liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential implementation methods;
Working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists;
Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during construction;
Making sure the drawing production is running according to schedule and budget;
Playing a part in project and team management;
Attending regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings.
Monitor the preparation of shop drawings and making sure that deadlines are met as per applicable in-house quality standards;
Monitor and Review sub-contractors’ submittals: materials, method statements, shop drawings, progress reports, execution plans, etc… Propose alternate solutions for ambiguous items without compromising the project change management protocols and quality;
Analyze and generate RFI to the consultant to clarify various ambiguities in IFC documents;
Prepare list of shop drawings and set submittal dates in accordance with the construction schedule;
Liaise with MEP for coordination purposes;
Attend meetings with sub-contractors to follow up on their shop drawings progress and monitor their technical output to make sure it is in line with the project’s design intent and specifications;
Review sub-contractors shop drawings before official submission for technical check-up and fine tuning if needed;
Resolve interface problems amongst various trades by preparing coordination shop drawings. (Architecture, Civil and MEP).
Human Resources & Community
Coordinate and liaise with Company departments regarding information required for reports.
Maintains close relations with client companies so as to ensure smooth business relationship.
Must possess ability to deal effectively with all levels of management within the Company and to accomplish objectives through personal relationships in areas where little formal authority exists.
Security & Safety
Be well-familiar with the Company policies and procedures
Be well-acquainted with the physical layout of the Company and its premises, and knowledgeable of the Company emergency procedures in regard to fire, medical, bomb threat, black-out and evacuation
Other Responsibilities
Ensures that confidential records and other confidential information is properly safeguarded and is not removed from the office.
Do not disclose any financial information or any other information of the Company to a competitor.
Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Design Manager or Operations Manager from time to time.

– 7 to 10 yrs of Experience with Fit Out works
– Bachelor degree in Architecture
